There are only a few people in this world who are remembered for a long time. Arsene Wenger is one of them and will always be recalled for his contribution to English football.
After enjoying 22 years of quality football with Arsenal in the top flight of the Premier League, Frenchman Arsene Wenger has decided to leave the North London club at the end of this season. Wenger has a match left to manage for his club which will be against Huddersfield on Sunday.
Wenger said that he wants to keep using his energy in football and so, he will continue to manage other clubs in the future. For now, he told the press that he wants to focus on his last game and is desperate to win it.
The 68-year-old has been linked with Paris Saint-Germain where he might substitute Unai Emery. His replacement at Arsenal will be declared after the World Cup. Luis Enrique, former Barcelona player and manager, is the main option for them to hire.
For his donation to the world of football, Premier League awarded him a golden replica of the Premier league trophy.
Wenger was born in Strasbourg and raised in Duttlenheim. He was introduced to football by his father, the manager of the local football team. Following a modest playing career in which he made appearances for several amateur clubs, he obtained a manager's diploma in 1981.

After an unsuccessful period at Nancy, Arsene joined AS Monaco and won the French League in 1988. Then, he merged with Arsenal in 1996 and within two years' time, he led the Gunners to glory in Premier League and also won 2 FA Cups. During the 2003-04 season, his side was unbeaten the whole season and were nicknamed 'The Invincibles'.
Arsene's career was at its peak when he guided his team to the final of Champions League in 2006 which unfortunately didn't end so well as they were declined 1-2 by Barcelona.
Though having not achieved European glory in his entire managerial career, Wenger's attacking style assisted Arsenal in winning Premier League thrice and FA Cup a record 7 times.
But in the recent seasons, Arsenal's form has been on a downswing as they failed to qualify for Champions League last season. It was for the first time after 20 years that the Gunners were stopped from entering the Champions League. Arsenal supporters, also known as the Gooners, called for the removal of Wenger from the Manger's position after a bad season.
No matter how much failure he suffered, Arsene Wenger can never be forgotten and will always remain an idol to all the footballers.
"If you do not believe that you can do it, then you have no chance at all."
