Bale carries Real to a 3-0 win against Las Palmas with a brace

Welshman Gareth Bale scored twice as the Los Blancos warmed up for their Champions League Quarterfinal match against Juventus on Tuesday. Real Madrid made short work of Las Palmas to seal a 3-0 win over them.

Zidane rested Cristiano Ronaldo for this match and Bale used his chance to shine by scoring in 26th and 51st minute. Karim Benzema, the Frenchmen played his part and and converted a penalty in the 39th minute into a goal. Las Palmas created a few chances but lacked finishing and were outshone by Madrid.

Real Madrid are preparing for their tie against Juventus in the Champions League and the Madrid derby on 8th April while Las Palmas, who are on eighteenth spot in the League and can be relegated to La Liga 2, will face Levante on the coming weekend.
