Ronaldo's last-minute Penalty deprives a 10-men Juventus side

Juventus were defeated by Real Madrid who were already leading 3-0 after the first leg on aggregate.  Juventus managed to win the second leg in Madrid 3-1 but were knocked out of the competition due to a 3-4 score in the favor of Real Madrid on aggregate. Some might say that Juventus won the battle last night but lost the war. Gianluigi Buffon was sent off for arguing with the referee about the penalty which was given to Real Madrid. The Italian said that referee Micheal Oliver had a trash bin instead of a heart.

The Old Lady showed their determination to win at the very beginning of the match when Mario Mandzukic opened the scoring in the 2nd minute. Real Madrid with a goal down started playing possessive football and it certainly paid off for a long time in the first half. Lichsteiner gave an impressive assist to find the head of Mandzukic which helped Juventus go 2-0 up in the 37th minute.With his side trailing 2-0, Zidane made two substitutions which included Marco Asensio coming in for Gareth Bale and Lucas Vazquez replacing Casemiro in the second half. 

Real Madrid tried to stop Juventus from scoring a goal and equalize with the them but goalkeeper Keylor Navas made a mistake which cost them a goal and the Serie A side went 3-0 up in the 60th minute. After going 3-0 up, Juventus didn't let the Los Blancos attack but there was still time for last minute drama. Just when the match was close to enter extra time, Medhi Benatia shoved Lucas Vazquez in the box which gave a penalty to the Spanish Giants. Buffon burst out at the referee and was penalized for his raging. At the age of forty, Buffon is on the verge of retiring sooner. The penalty was well capitalized by Ronaldo who scored his fifteenth goal in Champions League this season.

Juventus have been ruled out of the Champions League and will certainly be looking to take home a Serie A title now. As for Real Madrid, they are on the run for their 13th Champions League title.

Messi Hopes to Return to Barcelona in Future.

Barcelona club legend Lionel Messi gave a weepy public interview Sunday, saying he isn't prepared to leave Camp Nou.  "In all actuality I don't have a clue what to say," Messi told columnists. "In these most recent couple of days, I have been figuring, giving loads of thought to what I would say. Truly I can't consider anything. This is truly hard for me after such countless years, being here as long as I can remember. I'm not prepared for this."  He added, "I trust I can return and be essential for this club in any capacity, to assist this with clubbing be the most incredible on the planet." Griezmann snatches a point for Atletico in the Madrid Clasico

Real Madrid had to settle for 1-1 draw at home to city rivals, Atletico Madrid as Antoine Griezmann struck in time to cancel out Cristiano Ronaldo's opener for Los Blancos. Real had the most of the possession of the ball throughout the match but were unable to clinch three points in the Derby. Zinedine Zidane took a risk and played Ronaldo which paid off as the Portuguese scored the opener in the 53rd minute from a fantastic assist from Gareth Bale. But Real couldn't hold on to the lead and eventually, the defense started to break by giving Atletico the opportunity to score which was not left by Antoine Griezmann who leveled the score in the 58th minute. Zidane substituted Ronaldo as he wanted him fresh for the second leg against Juventus in the Quarterfinal match of the Champions League. Meanwhile, Atletico will travel to Lisbon to face Sporting in the Europa League, having won the first leg 2-0.
